Perhaps Donald Rumsfeld was on to something when he famously talked about unknown unknowns. We can know what we know and what we don’t know if we stay at home but if we travel, then that takes us into the land of the unknown unknowns … Maybe this is one of the greatest motivations for going on a journey.
