The X-ray Technician

by Tom on May 1st, 2011

Day 43 – 10:00 – Temple 84

It rained overnight and then cleared up by morning so we have another hot, steamy day. Lucky again!

This friendly chap showed me the way back to the path with his one year old daughter Mai-chan. In exchange, I helped him with some useful phrases in English for his job taking chest x-rays.

We talked about mini-retirements. He said young guys in Japan would never take 2 months off to walk around Shikoku. I told him how young twenty-somethings in New Zealand or Australia frequently take two years out of their careers to work and travel abroad.
