Two Mistakes
Day 41 – 13:30 – Temple 79
“There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth…not going all the way, and not starting.”
– Buddha
Not sure that I agree with him on that one – I seem to be making lots of mistakes when it comes to following the true road today but there again I guess he would say that all paths lead to the same destination …
The preferred soundtrack to my walk is the birds and the bees but sometimes I need something more.
If I’m looking for some mental stimulation I listen to American Tibetan Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön, British hippy zen philosopher Alan Watts, American meditation master Jack Kornfield or Robb Wolf’s Paleo Solutions podcast.
If I fancy a singalong I listen to some Rock with a capital ‘R’:
“Yesterday, there were so many things I wasn’t told.
Now that I’m starting to learn,
I feel like I’m growing old …”
– Guns ‘n’ Roses
If I need to pick up the tempo then I hit the trance music with the Above and Beyond: Trance Around the World podcast. I’ve never really been into trance music but after seeing Nic Fanciulli in Tokyo, I realize that there’s a time and a place for everything:

If I need an emotional boost, I listen to La Ritournelle (the only love song) by Sebastien Tellier. Possibly the greatest track ever made:
